Here’s an idea
Rather than sending the Komen Foundation any money, send a donation directly to Planned Parenthood. And in addition,make your donation to Planned Parenthood as an “honorary gift”, requesting that a card be sent to:

Dallas, TX 75265even if you could only give a dollar or two plus postage,funds would go where they are needed and a much more valuable message would be sent directly to Komen in the way of thousands of thank you cards from Planned Parenthood.

Backstory: The Susan G. Komen Foundation decided to pull all funding from Planned Parenthood. That funding is used for breast cancer screenings, which is one of the many services Planned Parenthood provide. Ostensibly this has been done because whoever’s running the Komen Foundation right now doesn’t like the fact that Planned Parenthood provides abortions.
Obviously this has a lot of people, least of all myself, incredibly pissed off with the Komen Foundation.
As someone else on Tumblr very aptly put it earlier today, cancer doesn’t care if you’re pro-life or pro-choice.
